Trail Casualties

We learned this evening of sever people we know who are off the trail. Danger Mouse left the trail in Neels Gap due to bad blisters. She was hiking with Sherpa. We hiked with them for a couple days until Sonic decided to go to Blood Mountain. We met Sherpa and Low Impact at Woody Gap shelter just before Blood Mountain.

There was a woman who I do not remember who hiked with us the first couple days who broke her arm at Gooch Mountain. We heard about that, but I did not know it was someone we knew.

Highway was hiking with someone we met at Neels Gap who left the trail the day after Neels Gap. Highway said he waited for his friend at the top of a mountain for a long time. Unicorn and Pegases told his his friend decided to leave the trail on the way up the mountain.

We met two hikes at the Hiker Hostile with trail injuries. One had a broken leg acquired 10 miles from Springer. The other had self diagnosed stess fractures.

There were several others we heard left the trail, but I can not think of their names now. I will write more if I remember more.
