Hunger

I never feel particularly hungary on the trail. I'm probably eating about 3,000 to 4,000 calories per day while on the trail. I'm also losing a lot of weight between towns. My waist strap on my pack could not be tightened even a quarter inch today. I try to eat as much as I can possibly eat while in towns. I think I can put on at least a pound per night in town. That weight has to help get me through to the next town.

I feel particularly hungry when I'm home alone. I'm gaining lots of weight between trips to the fridge and couch. My belt could not be any looser. I try not to have to get off the couch or even push the buttons on the remote control too much (mostly out of fear of getting carpal tonnel in my phalanges). I too am putting on about a pound per night. So I'll be about 300 lbs when you see me. It's just more of me to love.
